We would like to inform you that Dr. Phil Nelson, whom many of you have come to know and trust, will be moving away from our practice. His last day of work will be April 30th, 2024.

We understand that transitions like this can be concerning, but we want to assure you that your healthcare needs remain our top priority. Dr. Liliana and Dr. Rebekah will be taking over Dr. Nelson’s patient care responsibilities and will continue providing you with the excellent care you deserve.

Yoga

Dr. Nelson grew up in the quiet city of Saint John, New Brunswick. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, where he was also the varsity basketball trainer in 2008. Furthering his education, Dr. Nelson graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2012 before chasing the mountains and practicing in Calgary, AB for the next 9 years.

While in Calgary, Dr. Nelson was the official chiropractor of the Alberta Ballet / School of Alberta Ballet, an active member of the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sports Medicine Team, and a patroller with the Canadian Ski Patrol at Banff Sunshine Village. He has always been passionate about health, and is a firm believer that “pre-habilitation”, proper biomechanics, and education will lead to a happier, healthier life.

Always furthering his knowledge, Dr. Nelson is eager to learn new techniques and therapies to help his patients have an effective, efficient and fast recovery. To date, he has taken several Active Release courses, is certified in Graston Technique, and has his ACC level II acupuncture designation. His main practice focus is on acute injuries from head to toe, managing pain, and returning patients to the activities that they love.

Coming from Yarmouth Nova Scotia, Erin moved to Fort McMurray after completing her Physical therapy/ Occupational therapy assistant diploma in Halifax. She spent her first two years in Fort McMurray as a PTA, then decided to divulge into a career where she could have her very own clients.

Erin started her massage therapy career in Fort McMurray through Alberta College of Massage Therapy. She graduated her 2200 hour program with honours of distinction in January 2020.

With a background in physical therapy assistant work, her focus is the rehabilitation of her clients through creating the perfect balance in strengthening and stretching to achieve each personal goal set by her clients.

Erin specializes in myofascial cupping, deep tissue, TMJ, and pre/post natal massage.

In her spare time, Erin enjoys training with her German Shepherds as well as horseback riding and spending time outdoors.

Originally from Saskatoon, she moved to Fort McMurray at only 2 years old. In June 2021 she graduated from a 2200-hour Massage Therapy Program through MacEwan University. She is excited to share her passion for the body and wellness, and give back to this wonderful community.

Carly specializes in deep tissue and therapeutic massage. She also has her certificate in Myofascial Cupping and is eager to expand her skill set. She is committed to developing individualized treatments to better fit each unique patient.

Dr. Rebekah Janes is originally from Newfoundland, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology Degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2013. She then moved to Toronto where she completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2017. Upon completing her studies, Rebekah made the move west to Fort McMurray to pursue a career in Chiropractic.

Rebekah is passionate about connecting with her patients and ensuring individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans to get them out of pain as quickly as possible. She has experience working as a Certified Exercise Physiologist, and is a strong believer in preventative and rehabilitative care, which along with chiropractic treatment, includes exercise and nutrition advice. She is also very passionate about mental health, and is certified in Mental Health First Aid through the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

In her free time, Dr. Rebekah enjoys staying active at the gym, playing and coaching minor hockey and spending time outdoors.

Chantal began her career in her hometown of Newfoundland since her graduation from ICT Northumberland college in Halifax , Nova Scotia in 2011. Through out her career she has had the pleasure of working along side chiropractors, physiotherapist, acupuncturist as well as fellow massage therapists. Her energy and passion for rehabilitation shines through each individual treatment.

Chantal specializes in deep tissue, myofasical cupping, myofasical release, TMJ as well as pre/post natal massage.

In addition to her massage therapy background, Chantal continued her studies in yoga. Her educational journey started in 2016 in Thailand where she received her 200 hour yoga certification and most recently she completed her 85 hour prenatal yoga certification in Vancouver, BC.

Dr. Niewczas is the owner and founder of Pinnacle Chiropractic.

Dr. Niewczas started her education at McMaster University where she obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, with a minor in biochemistry. Upon graduation she went on to complete her studies in chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. During that time, Dr. Niewczas sought additional training in medical acupuncture and is a certified contemporary medical acupuncture provider. She is also certified in SpiderTech kinesiotaping. In 2016, Dr. Niewczas completed her training in animal chiropractic and is now also a Certified Animal Chiropractor.

Dr. Niewczas practices with a gentle and personalized approach that focuses on collaborating with other health care practitioners to achieve the best results for her patients.

Since having two children of her own, Dr. Niewczas has a keen interest in treating expectant mothers and children. She has completed the Webster Technique certification to ensure her pregnant patients receive the best care possible as well as completed the P.I.P.S.
